Waddlers
The waddler room is a space designed for children aged 12 to 24 months. Here, little ones focus on developing large and fine gross motor skills, explore sensory activities, engage in group interactions, and begin their journey towards independence. Meals are served restaurant style and all children eat together. Additionally, sign language plays a significant role, allowing waddlers to communicate needs and feelings before they can express verbally. Overall, the waddler room provides a nurturing environment for these curious and active little explorers!
Toddlers
Once children turn two, they begin to transition into the toddler room. This space is carefully designed for children aged 24 to 36 months. As toddlers become more independent, this room provides them the space and tools to freely explore and learn from their surroundings. A large focus of the toddler room is autonomy. Teachers give children the guidance and patience to learn self-help skills such as washing their hands, feeding, communicating, dressing, toileting, and cleaning up. Meals are served restaurant style and all children eat together. This nurturing environment is well-suited for our little explorers working towards more independence and social play!
Preschool
Our preschool classroom is modeled for children aged 3 to 4 years. Here, the environment and schedule becomes more structured with carefully designed centers to work towards individual goals in all learning domains. The preschool classroom has a wider variety of center work stations that encourage various types of play freely open to explore throughout the day. Meals are served family style and the entire class sits together to eat and discuss various topics. Children in this stage are still focused on learning self-help skills which are highly encouraged by the teachers. They also begin to dig deeper into social play, so our centers encourage multiple children to play together. Our early preschool classroom is a place where young minds blossom, explore, and build essential skills in a supportive and playful environment.
Pre-K
Our pre-k classroom is delicately arranged for children aged 4-5 years. A large focus in this classroom is preparing children for lifelong success in schooling and in life. We use a center-based, play approach in our teaching, as with the rest of our classrooms. This class has more in-depth structured activities throughout the day to dive into more specific learning. Our classroom environment encourages children to learn at their own pace with the ability to freely choose materials to engage with. Our pre-k program sets the foundation for lifelong learning, fostering curiosity, creativity, and social skills.
School-Age
For ages 5-12 years, we provide an excellent afterschool and summer program in a well rounded environment. Both programs include a very exciting and fun activities for everyone. We take the children on field trips, hikes, group bike rides, local parks, and picnics each day, as well as plan fun activities such as science and art projects. We have a Sprinter passenger van for the class to ride in for further adventures. During the school year, we provide transportation from Farmin-Stidwell Elementary and Washington Elementary to our facility.
